EV Charge Point Installation in Coventry
We install home electric vehicle charge points from a dedicated circuit, typically at 7kW single-phase output, which is suitable for overnight charging of most electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Installation includes a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit, the charge point unit, and the required electrical certification. All installations comply with BS 7671 and are notified under Part P.

Questions about EV Charge Point Installation
Does my consumer unit need to be upgraded first?
Not always. If your existing consumer unit has a free way and the available supply capacity is sufficient, a charge point can be added without a board change. We assess the consumer unit as part of the initial visit and advise accordingly.
Can I claim a grant for a home EV charger?
The OZEV Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant is available to eligible homeowners and renters. Eligibility depends on the property type and whether you have off-street parking. We can advise on current eligibility criteria; the grant application is the customer's responsibility.
