CCTV Drain Survey in Exeter
A CCTV drain survey pushes a camera through the drain run and records the full length of pipe on video, with a written condition report noting defects, locations and recommended action. The report is accepted by mortgage lenders, insurers and building control for pre-purchase, insurance and compliance purposes. We issue reports with defect coding to the industry standard for the repair work we quote.

CCTV Drain Survey — plain answers
Do I need a drain survey before buying a house?
It is strongly recommended for any property built before 1970, where pitch-fibre and clay drains are common and age-related failure is frequent. A pre-purchase survey typically costs less than a single unblocking call-out, and the report can reveal defects that affect the sale price or completion conditions. The survey is usually completed within a few days of booking.
Will the survey report be accepted by my insurer or mortgage lender?
Our reports include video recording and defect notation suitable for insurer and lender review. If your specific lender or insurer has a required report format, let us know at the time of booking and we will confirm whether we can meet that requirement.
